This is a great time of year for Highlands Lawn & Landscape. For one, we are getting ready to head back outside again (our crews officially kick off the spring on April 7, 2014). But beyond getting started with our spring clean-ups, this is a really fun time of year for us because it is a great time of year for our clients.
After the long winter (and in particular the 2013/14 winter ranks up there) so many of our clients head into the spring season ready to do “something new” with their yards. And while many of our clients have specific landscape design ideas in mind, many others are not exactly sure about what they want to do although they know that they want to do something new and fun with their property.
Landscape Design Software Aides our Process
One feature we’ve been using for a number of years to help our clients with the decision making process is some amazing landscape design visualization software. Here is an example of a project we did last year that outlines how this works.
Typically we’ll use an actual photo of the property as a starting point such as this one:
And now you can see through the use of our computer aided landscape design software we are able to render and rich landscape design mock-up that can provide some great texture and detail about how an upcoming landscape design effort can be delivered:
And here is another great example of our landscape design software being used to help aid the process. In this particular case our client was not exactly sure what they wanted for an outcome, but they were very sure that they wanted to enter the spring with a new front yard.
After some careful consideration, and based in large part on our years of experience in landscape design we presented our client with the following mock-up.
In this particular instance our client was very happy and chose to move forward. The software aided mock-up gave our client a very assuring visual process that provided for a much greater degree of confidence in their decision to move forward. Also, through the use of our landscape design software our client was able to get a much clearer sense of what to expect from the work we provided.
Why it Works
Through the use of our landscape design software, when it is not abundantly clear at the outset, our Highlands Lawn & Landscape team is able to provide a very clear vision about how a landscape design project will unfold. This is great for our team as it gives us a very clear map. But more so it is great for our clients because through the use of our software our clients have a very clear idea of what to expect.
In addition the visualization software builds on the initial enthusiasm and allows for direct client feedback on the potential work before we start.
Another great aspect of the software is that our team can add a wide variety of local (and even extra-local) flowers, plants, shrubs and trees into the diagrams to provide a very rich visualization, and also to create enhancements based on feedback and client preferences.
