With the fall season really beginning to come through, now is a wonderful time in terms of overall landscaping and lawn care. So much of what we do during this time of year is focused on delivering a great experience for the coming spring, while also addressing the upkeep of our client’s properties – allowing everyone to enjoy their yards to the fullest both through the remainder of the fall as well as for setting up a great spring.
With that in mind, our Highlands Landscaping team is proud to offer the following services for our Massachusetts residential and commercial clients:
Aeration: Now is the time to aerate your lawn. Of course not every lawn needs to be aerated, and yes, it is true that some specific types of grass are better served by aeration in the spring. In any event it is crucial that if we are going to provide a fall aeration for your lawn that we also leave enough new grow time (four weeks is plenty.) If you are not sure if your lawn should be aerated this season please contact us and we’ll provide a free consultation.
Overseeding: Without a doubt, this is the best time to perform overseeding on your lawn. Early fall is a great time to introduce new grass to your property as the weather is very optimal and we still have plenty of time for new grass shoots to establish themselves.
New Plantings: This is an optimal time for the planting of new shrubs, trees and full-blown grass areas. Much like with overseeding, early fall is a great time to nurture new growth, while still giving your new shrubs, trees and grass plenty of time to establish themselves and to prepare themselves for winter.
Tree and Shrub Pruning: Another big area of need we see at this time of year is focused on tree and shrub pruning. Our Highlands Lawn & Landscaping crew have considerable experience in this area and we’ll handle to pruning of your trees and shrubs with care and professional expertise.
Bulb Plantings: A great service we offer is bulb planting, particularly for early spring blooms. Our expert team can work with you to identify the proper bulbs to place in your yard and then we’ll handle all the details – allowing you to sit back and enjoy a rich array of new flowers throughout your yard coming this spring and beyond!
