The First Plowing Events This Winter
Hard to believe, but our first series of plowing events are now behind us for the winter of 2013/2014. We had two pretty serious snow events and our crew was hard at work for a few days actively plowing, shoveling and sanding.
What surprised us a bit was the high volume of calls, emails and contacts we received both during and right after the storm from potential customers looking for snow removal services either because they were slow to engage with a company, or in many cases because the company they thought they were working with simply never arrived.
Dependable Snow Plowing
When it comes to snow removal, everyone here in Massachusetts understands the snow can come down fast and it can accumulate. Beyond that, much like we had last year, often the snow storms can pile up on one another creating an entirely different set of snow removal issues revolving around “where to put it all.”
We get it. We also remove it.
Our customers expect our crews to show up and we do. Depending on the severity of the storm it might take us upwards of a few hours before we make a first pass on your property, and again depending on the severity and expected snowfall we might end up doing a few passes on your property when it is all said and done, but we will be there and if you have a seasonal contract with Highlands Lawn & Landscape, your snow will get removed.
There is nothing worse than expecting your plow team to arrive and then having them not show up leaving you either stuck at home for extra days, or having to do the mad scramble to try and arrange for a plow service right in the middle of a snow plowing event.
Customer Loyalty
While we are not prepared to declare what our rates for the 2014/15 season will be for our returning customers, we are well aware of a few things.
- Customers do not return for a follow up season if they are unhappy.
- We have plenty of multi-year customers (and we work very hard every season to make sure that remains the case – we do not take our customers for granted!)
- We try to reward of multi-year customers with what we hope is great pricing at a great value, and we try to keep annual raises to a minimum, and if we can avoid them entirely we do. As you can see, we did not raise our standard rates for this season for all of our repeat customers from years past.
New Snowplowing Customers
For those of you still in the market for a dependable snow plowing service, and are interested in a quote on snowplowing please email us soon for a price on your driveway.
Given the size of our team and the number of trucks we have on the road we are still able to take on a few more new snowplowing customers for this season.
As always, we are only a phone call away at (781) 431-2338, or you can reply to this email. You can also contact us through our website – www.highlandslandscape.com.
With gratitude,
Chris Beauregard and the entire Highlands Lawn team.
