Here is a recent brick walkway job we did for a customer of ours in Holliston MA. For this job there was some basic demo work required as we removed the asphalt walkway that was originally in place.
We talked with the homeowner about a few options but ultimately we landed on the nice light colored bricks for a variety of reasons including their functionality as well as the nice color balance that they brought to the entire space. The bricks also added a very nice layer of livability to the entire yard.
This type of job is a fairly common request that we address for a number of our clients where they might have originally built out a hardscape environment that was very easy to install, but years later they are ready to modernize an outdoor space in some way. This is also a fairly common scenario we find with many of our new home owner clients.
A brick walkway is a great addition to an outdoor space, and it tends to handle the weather very well. Brick walkways also give a great deal of design versatility allowing the homeowner to later make changes to the paint job or outdoor landscaping decisions that still tend to work very well with most outdoor brick walkway designs.
