In addition to our mowing services for residential landscaping, we also offer comprehensive new grass lawn build and design packages. Here is a recent new grass lawn we planted for a client of ours in Wellesley, MA.
As was the case with this client, many of our clients have children, so in addition to looking great, the lawn also has a very functional aspect to it – specifically it needs to be a great place for kids to play in. Not only does the lawn need to “work” for the immediate needs of the household, but there are also many design aspects we can apply to help ensure the longevity of your new lawn.
For this client we first laid out the specifications for their new grass lawn. And then we put the new grass lawn together in a very methodical manner, focusing first on the removal of the prior outdoor space, and then in very managed stages we first prepped the area, we then laid down the mulch and finally we brought in the new grass lawn.
As you can see from the final photos, we struck a nice balance between the grass areas as well as the specific areas for play. In part we put this yard together in this manner to help ensure that the high traffic/high impact areas of the yard (the swing set and tire swing) would be able to effectively handle the load while allowing the integrity of the entire yard to remain intact.
